Studio Time!

Alright, fans, here is my first sneak peek at what is currently on my desk in various stages of completion. Some are nearly complete- just missing that final shot of matte sealant. Others are still being assembled. I will take better photos once everything is done, not to worry! I am also experimenting with a small landscape strictly for picture taking. The fun part here is that I am also experimenting with water effects. Man, the stuff takes long enough to dry! And Owen, if you are reading this, there is another teaser of the monster tank for you. I have also included a picture of my studio "assistant". it's a wonder I get anything done! Some of you may be shocked to see a few small-scale mechs in there. Those are being done for the winners of a charity auction on the Lords Of The Battlefield forum. Yes, the marauder is pink. That was what I was assigned to do. As soon as the scenery is done, I will take some pictures of whatever else I have finished on my brand new landscape.

Oops! Sorry, Owen. I almost forgot this one....Can you see the vent covers I added? And the shovel? And the muzzle brake?

  1. What is the mech to the left of the marauder?

  2. i'm not really sure. there were no bases on them with a manufacturer name, either. i had to make bases for them. i'm going to guess they are not IWM products. i got two of them from the same guy. one is going to be winter camo. the other is going to be autumn camo.

  3. Dude, that is an Critical Mass Games 15mm mecha walker for the "Arc Fleet" infantry. :-)

  4. hahaha! silly me. i was thinking of the marauder's left! yes, that is one of the three CMG walkers i just got in the mail a few days ago. i ordered the scout pack so they did not come with arms- which was my plan, anyway. all 3 are cosmetically enhanced. all 3 can be seen in these pics. i made a scout, an anti-air, and an assault version.

    1. I had a feeling you'd enjoy the turrets. They look great with the bases.
Where did you get the shovel in that scale to place on the tank? The muzzle break is a very nice touch.

  5. the shovel isn't really in the correct scale. i think it might actually be a 1:35 trench shovel from a sprue of WWII German infantry gear. don't tell anyone!

  6. What is the vehicle on the far right? I really like the style... hopefully it's 15mm!

  7. i believe you are referring to the mobile HQ. that is a slightly modified MW:DA mini. it is technically 10mm, but it is big enough to convincingly pass for 15mm.
